Market research firm comScore has released a list of the top 50 most visited sites in the US in July. Surprisingly, Yahoo held the No. 1 position and dropped Google to No. 2.
The Guardian said on Aug. 23 that Yahoo estimates that in July, there were about 197 million unique visitors (ranked No. 1), while Google had 192 million unique visitors.
Yahoo may be out of Google in May 2011.
Yahoo attracted a large number of users, showing signs of improvement from recent advances made by female CEO Marissa Mayer, including the biggest changes to the new Flickr interface or refresh. Yahoo Weather app on iOS and Android.
However, the data that comScore has just announced does not take into account the number of people using the service on mobile phones, which now a lot of users of this device frequently use the services of Google.
